Elena Harvey Collins, Curator of Art Space Gallery:
"Jenkins-Moses centers her body in her work as an act of self-love and acceptance. Here, voluminous chiffon is printed with photographs of her body. The chiffon is pieced together in a process similar to dressmaking, from a pattern, recalling the relationship of clothing to the body and to domestic labor traditionally done by women. The fluidity of the fabric—its folds, bulges, and ripples—emulate the corpulence of the body, while the seams are reminiscent of scars, and the scale makes one feel enveloped, as if by a landscape."
